PRODUCT WARRANTY

Wentworth Technology, Inc. warrants that its SpeedThru™ product line will be free from defects in material and manufacture for the period indicated below from the date of shipment to purchaser by Wentworth Technology or its authorized dealer.   If the Wentworth Technology SpeedThru product does not conform to this warranty, the sole and exclusive remedy is, at Wentworth Technology’s option, repair or replacement of the Wentworth Technology product or refund of the purchase price. NEITHER WENTWORTH TECHNOLOGY NOR YOUR RETAIL DEALER OR SELLING DISTRIBUTOR SHALL BE LIABLE FOR ANY INCIDENTAL OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES FOR BREACH OF ANY EXPRESS OR IMPLIED WARRANTY ON THE PRODUCTS, INCLUDING WITHOUT LIMITATION COMMERCIAL LOSS, INCIDENTAL EXPENSES, LOSS OF TIME, OR INCONVENIENCE. EXCEPT TO THE EXTENT PROHIBITED BY LAW, THE WARRANTY IS EXCLUSIVE AND IN LIEU OF ALL OTHER EXPRESS AND IMPLIED WARRANTIES WHATSOEVER, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO THE WARRANTY OF MERCHANTABILITY AND FITNESS FOR A PRACTICAL PURPOSE.

Warranty includes two on-site service calls per year. These service calls must be required due to a warrantable cause in order to be the responsibility of Wentworth Technology. Service visits that are required for any other cause than defect in material and manufacturer during warranty period or due to Wentworth Technology’s installer’s error, will be the financial responsibility of the Customer.

  This warranty does not cover:

  • repair or replacement of existing cable or wiring
  • product failure caused by misuse, abuse, accident or neglect, improper installation or operation, improper storage, or unapproved modifications
  • SpeedThru products that are installed or serviced by a non-Wentworth Technology authorized party.  
  • Products which have not been charged for six (6) months. If the battery in a product has not been charged for a period of six (6) months, the product might not function or regain its full potential and long-term performance. Wentworth Technology does not offer any warranty for such performance. It is the owner’s responsibility to operate and care for the products in accordance with the instructions and specifications supplied with the products. Repairs resulting from failure to do so are not covered by the Warranty.
  • Other acts which are not the fault of Wentworth Technology.
  • Specifically exempt from warranty are limited-life consumable components subject to normal wear and tear, such as microphone windscreens, ear cushions, modular plugs, ear tips, ear hooks, decorative finishes, batteries, and other accessories including all foam products.
  • The Warranty is invalid if the factory-applied serial number, date code label, and/or product label has been altered or removed from the products.
  • Non-Wentworth Technology products or accessories or any damage to Wentworth Technology products caused by such non-Wentworth Technology products or accessories.
  • In no event will Wentworth Technology be liable for incidental or consequential damages or the loss of profits arising from the use or inability to use any Wentworth Technology products or from accidents or acts of god.
  • Activities that cause power spikes or similar results can impact the performance and life any electronic devices.  These results of situations are not considered a result of any manufacturer’s defects and therefore not covered as part of the SpeedThru™ warranty. We do recommend you consider purchasing a quality power conditioning/surge protection unit for your SpeedThru™ system as well as any other key electronic devices in your stores to help mitigate any risk should such a situation occur.  

The Warranty sets forth the extent and limit of Wentworth Technology’s obligations towards the end-user of the products except as modified by applicable Law. WENTWORTH TECHNOLOGY MAKES NO WARRANTIES, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY AND FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, WITH RESPECT TO WENTWORTH TECHNOLOGY PRODUCTS, EXCEPT AS SPECIFICALLY SET FORTH ABOVE.

Return Procedure

When you have a problem with Wentworth Technology’s product, call our technical support line to trouble-shoot the issues. Often issues can be resolved quickly over the phone. Customers must be willing and able to provide Wentworth Technology a reasonable level of assistance to Technical Support Department to diagnose any potential issues. Without this assistance the warranty is void.

 If it is determined that it is necessary to return the product for warranty exchange, Technical Support will issue a Return Material Authorization (RMA) number. This is required before any exchange process begins.  A replacement will be shipped the next business day when deemed necessary for location business purposes.

 Defective Wentworth Technology products are to be returned to Wentworth Technology or an authorized Wentworth Technology service center.  Wentworth Technology will provide a prepaid shipping label with the advance replacement headset.  To obtain Warranty Service, you must return the products in their original packaging, if possible, or packaging affording an equal degree of protection. The following information must be presented to obtain Warranty Service:

    1. The defective products;
    2. Your name, company name if applicable, address, and telephone number;
    3. A description of the problem; and
    4. Proof of purchase which clearly indicates the name and address of the distributor or reseller, date of purchase, product type and model number. Without proof of purchase, your Warranty Period will commence on the date the product is shipped.
    5. The Return Material Authorization (RMA) number clearly marked on the box and internal paperwork.

    Defective products will be repaired or replaced at no charge and returned, freight prepaid. Replacement of nonconforming goods and repair of defective Wentworth Technology products are the sole and exclusive remedies available under this warranty.        

    Note: If defective product is not returned to Wentworth Technology within 2 weeks of receipt of Advanced replace product, the customer will be invoiced for the full value of the replaced product. Additionally, any other RMA or service requests will not be honored until all outstanding RMA items have been returned or until all accounts are settled.

    Note: In addition to above, if the SpeedThru™ system is installed by a non-Wentworth Technology authorized 3rd party, the two onsite service calls are no longer offered and the customer will incur any charges associated with a necessary service call.

    NOTE.  The Warranty gives you specific legal rights. You may also have other rights which vary from state to state. Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion or limitation of incidental or consequential damages or implied warranties, so the above exclusions may not apply to you. The Warranty does not affect your statutory legal rights under your applicable national or local laws.
